You may have heard about the recent Federal raid and seizure of the assets and records of NORFED (National Organization for the Repeal of the Federal Reserve Act), a private company owned by Bernard Von NotHaus, that has been selling gold and silver bullion coins labeled “Liberty Dollars” through an arguably-questionable multi-level-marketing (MLM) scheme.
The Washington Post recently reported that “The ardent supporters of Rep. Ron Paul, the iconoclastic Texas libertarian whose campaign for the presidency is threatening to upend the battle for the Republican nomination, got word yesterday of a new source of outrage and motivation: reports of a federal raid on a company that was selling thousands of coins marked with the craggy visage of their hero.” Read the rest of this entry »

U.S. Government Just Stole Liberty Dollar Holders’ Money
As has been the case so many times during the history of this government, once again they are confiscating private property for the benefit of the Federal Reserve banking monopoly. They are trying their damnedest to discourage people from using alternative forms of money (in order to protect themselves from inflation). It will be interesting to see the legal battle that brews as a result of this.
Liberty Dollar office raided
The future of an Evansville-based company that produces a “private voluntary barter currency” known as the Liberty Dollar is in question after federal agents raided the facility this week, according to an e-mail sent by its founder.
Federal officials reportedly raided the group’s headquarters, located in a strip mall at 225 N. Stockwell Road, early Wednesday morning and seized documents and precious metals.
FBI Agent Wendy Osborne, a spokeswoman for the FBI’s Indianapolis office, directed all questions on the raid to the Western District of North Carolina U.S. Attorney’s Office. A spokeswoman there said she had no information on the investigation. Read the rest of this entry »

During a pro-war rally in, what appears to be Washington D.C., several demonstrators were arrested for reading the Constitution of the united States of America. The officers who arrested them refused to say what they were charged with or comment on the situation.

ACC orders commandwide standdown Friday

On Sept. 14, flight lines will be very quiet at Air Combat Command bases.
The entire command — about 100,000 active-duty airmen — is standing down training flights and many other operations as part of a command-wide safety day.
Command boss Gen. Ronald Keys ordered the Sept. 14 safety standdown in the wake of the Aug. 30 nuclear incident at Minot Air Force Base, N.D., in which six cruise missiles armed with nuclear warheads were loaded onto a B-52H and then flown to Barksdale Air Force Base, La., without anyone on the ground or bomber realizing the nuclear weapons were on the plane. It was not until the B-52H was parked at Barksdale that ground crews discovered the cruise missiles were carrying real warheads.
Command spokesman Maj. Tom Crosson said wing commanders would determine how their units review operations and safety procedures and checklists.
Just how serious Keys takes the lapse of regulations at Minot is reflected in the fact that the safety stand-down is the first commandwide safety day in recent memory. In the past, the command has singled out specific types of aircraft for safety days and in 1997 the Department of Defense held a departmentwide safety review day.
Bush Set To Veto the Bill To Remove Mercury From Infant Vaccines
President Bush would veto the HHS-Labor-Education Appropriations Bill because of the cost and “objectionable provisions” such as a measure to ban the use of childhood flu vaccines that contain thimerosal, a mercury-based preservative.
Autism advocacy groups are outraged because President Bush stated in a questionnaire during his 2004 campaign: “I support the removal of Thimerosal from vaccines on the childhood national vaccine schedule. During a second term as President, I will continue to support increased funding to support a wide variety of research initiatives aimed at seeking definitive causes and/or triggers of autism. It is important to note that while there are many possible theories about causes or triggers of autism, no one material has been definitely included or excluded.” Read the rest of this entry »
